About & Research Areas

I am a Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Sivas Cumhuriyet University. My research is centered around Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and high-throughput omics-based bioinformatics analyses. I apply these advanced tools to investigate insect mitogenomics, genomics, population genetics, and biodiversity, with a special focus on the systematics and evolution of the family Cephidae (Hymenoptera: Insecta) and other insect groups.

In addition to my academic research, I am the founder of Biyomik (founded in June 2025), a biotechnology venture focusing on commercializing Next-Generation Sequencing services, custom omics pipelines, and bioinformatics solutions for academic and clinical research.
